KWIN Founder, Salome Enoshi Nwodom, Receives University of Greater Manchester’s Vice-Chancellor’s Award
A remarkable milestone for excellence, leadership, and women’s empowerment. The Founder of Kindle Women Initiative (KWIN), Salome Enoshi Nwodom née Uwah, has received the Vice-Chancellor’s Award, the highest academic award of the University of Greater Manchester, in recognition of her outstanding academic achievement. Salome graduated with Distinction in Master by Research (MRes) in Artificial Intelligence, further marking her exceptional journey of academic excellence, research, and leadership. Her achievement adds to an already remarkable record of accomplishments at the University, where she served in several leadership and student-support roles, including as an IEEE Student Branch Chair and Founder of the IEEE Women in Engineering Affinity Group. For KWIN, this milestone is more than a personal achievement. It is a powerful reminder of what education, opportunity, perseverance, and supportive communities can make possible—especially for women and girls. We celebrate our Founder, Salome Enoshi Nwodom, for this well-deserved recognition and for continuing to inspire a generation of girls and women to dream boldly, pursue excellence, and make an impact. Congratulations, Ma. Your light continues to kindle many more.
